Introducing a Chrome extension for Google Ads specialists
For the last couple of weeks I’ve been working on a Chrome extension that brings some QoL improvements to the Google Ads interface. It has just passed the review and is now live on Chrome Web Store.
Here is a quick overview of what you can do:
This extension allows to customize the look of the Google Ads performance table by:
- Adding a custom background color to columns.
- Adding a custom text color to columns.
- Making the column text bold or italic.
There is also the Secret Tweaks checkbox that will:
- Change the active row background from light gray to light yellow.
- Add more distinct borders between the table body rows and the table heading/footer rows.

This is an early version, and I developed the extension for personal use, so it doesn’t have many features—just the ones I find useful. Naturally, there are some limitations:
- Only a handful of columns are available for customization. I’m planning to add more columns in the future.
- You can select a color from a predefined list. I have only added the colors that fit well with the Google Ads interface.
There might be bugs and glitches, as this is my first experience. If you come across any problems, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll take a look.
